CAMP O'DONNELL, CAPAS, TARLAC — The Training Command, Philippine Army celebrated the Buwan ng Wika 2025 with the theme: “Paglinang ng Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa” at OCS Messhall, TRACOM, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on 27 August 2025.
Pangkat TRACOM showcased their talents through a Cultural Dance, Patriotic Song, and Balagtasan competition highlighting the Philippine language, culture, and traditions. These presentations showcased every Pangkat TRACOM members’ hidden talents, aside from being military instructors and mentors.
The successful celebration of Buwan ng Wika at TRACOM reflects the institution's firm commitment to promoting national consciousness. As the "Source of the Army Standards," TRACOM continues to ensure that every soldier is not only proficient in military knowledge but also has a deep appreciation for the culture, traditions, and language of the nation.

The Philippine Army Sergeant Major Course Class 16-2025 held their Dining-In with MGen Danilo D Benavides PA, Commander of the Training Command, Philippine Army, at Lucero Hall, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.
Dining-in with the Commander is one of the long-standing military traditions still practiced at the Philippine Army. It is a formal gathering that provides an opportunity for the head of an academic institution to engage with the students, fostering camaraderie and mentorship. A highlight of the tradition is the ceremonial toast, which serves as an expression of honor and goodwill.
In his message, MGen Benavides left a remarkable phrase: “Die hard even if it rains.” This phrase emphasized the values of unwavering commitment and steadfast dedication to duty, regardless of challenges and circumstances.

LOOK – The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) acknowledged the 38 impressive years of dedicated service of the Commander of the Training Command, Philippine Army, Major General Danilo D. Benavides PA, held at Fort Gregorio del Pilar, Baguio City on 30 August 2025.
As Commander of TRACOM, Maj. Gen. Benavides was instrumental in modernizing the training curriculum thereby enhancing the overall-training readiness of Army forces. His leadership focused on instilling discipline, professionalism, and a high standard of military competence, leaving a lasting legacy on the institution.
As part of the honors, testimonial parade featured a review of the cadet corps in formation, showcasing their precision and discipline as a sign of respect for the honoree. The event concluded with a pass-in-review, a symbolic final march of the troops in a commander's honor.
Maj. Gen. Benavides upcoming retirement will mark the culmination of a distinguished career dedicated to serving the Filipino people. His leadership and commitment to excellence will continue to inspire a new generation of soldiers.
